Chamber For Good

We know our business community is generous - always looking for opportunities to help meet the needs of our residents and local non-profits. As part of the the Gilbert Chamber Foundation, the Chamber For Good initiative identifies ways in which businesses can become involved. Our key partnerships include:

Adopt-A-Senior Holiday Program

This holiday program benefits Gilbert’s low-income senior citizens as well as home-bound seniors and disabled Gilbert residents. Members of the community adopt a senior by requesting a wish list, then shopping for and returning the items to the Chamber. Lists average $25 in cost.

Additionally, the Chamber Foundation hosts a holiday party for our low-income seniors and provides breakfast, entertainment by local students, and gift bags for all attendees. Donations of gift cards and other items are appreciated so we may provide guests with gifts and giveaways.

Typically held in November and December.

Back-To-School Supply Drive

In partnership with Gilbert Fire & Rescue, this program serves to benefit the more than 200 homeless families enrolled in Gilbert Public Schools. The drive culminates in a collection day where the families pick up the supplies they need at no cost. At this event, businesses are welcome to provide free services, including hair cuts, dental exams, chair massages, and more.

Community members may sponsor a student for a shopping event. Volunteers must contribute $150 to participate and personally shop with a student in need for items including clothing and shoes.

Typically held in July.

East Valley Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

This breakfast is an annual gathering of East Valley Mayors, leaders of faith, local government, businesses, and non profits working in partnership on human service needs in their community. The Gilbert Chamber Foundation is proud to be a partner in support of this special event.

Gilbert Feeding Families Food Drive

Each year, the community comes together to rally around the social issue of hunger. Businesses, schools, and Town Hall hold food drives, collect funds, and host special events to raise food and donations to benefit a local food bank. The Gilbert Chamber Foundation serves as a planning partner and we encourage friendly competition between our members to raise funds on behalf of the effort. Gilbert Feeding Families raised 37,855 meals for the United Food Bank in 2017.

iRun4Good 5k, Fun Run, and Community Fair

In partnership with For Our City Gilbert, the Chamber Foundation proudly supports the iRun4Good event. Each year, the event focuses on raising awareness on a social issue that directly impacts our community and proceeds from the run are donated a related non-profit. This event is a great opportunity to rally for the good of the community and raise awareness while having fun and making a positive difference in Gilbert and East Valley communities

Businesses and non-profit organizations are invited to host a booth at the iRun4Good 5K, Fun Run, and Community Fair. Booths must include a fun element for families.
