Chamber Committees

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Gilbert Chamber! When you serve on a committee, you can expect to build great connections and lasting friendships. Our committees help to support the growth and sustainability of the local business community.

Ambassadors Committee

Chamber President/CEO Kathy Tilque, Ambassador Robin Hall of Relay For Life Gilbert - American Cancer Society, and Ambassador Chair Kevin De Rosa of Advance Paper & Maintenance Supply

Purpose: Serve to welcome new members, introduce prospective members, help engage members in the Chamber, advocate for the chamber, serve as hosts at ribbon cuttings and special event tables, and serve as mentors to new Chamber members.

Term: Ambassadors serve for six (6) months beginning in January or July of each year.

Meetings: Meetings are typically held the second Wednesday of each month at Noon.

It is a pleasure to serve as the Chair of the Ambassador Committee and lead a group of members who desire to build our chamber membership and welcome new businesses to our community. Public Policy Committee

Senator Jeff Flake, Chamber President/CEO Kathy Tilque, and Rick Kettner of Northrop Grumman

Purpose: Research, evaluate, and recommend positions on town legislation, taxes, and other regulatory items impacting the business community; Serve as Independent Regulatory Advocate to mediate issues for members; Evaluate and recommend candidates for Chamber endorsement; Host and attend Good Government events to provide local businesses with access to elected officials and government leaders.

Term: Ongoing. Members must meet minimum meeting attendance requirements.

Meetings: Meetings are typically held the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

Advocating pro-business policies is a vital function of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. The Public Policy Committee plays an important role in fostering a business-friendly environment in Gilbert. I’m honored to serve as chair and work alongside so many leaders from the business community and look forward to continuing to work on issues that affect the Gilbert Chamber. Small Business Council

Purpose: Provide resources and opportunities to support the needs of small businesses; identify topics and host ongoing GEM Talks with a focus on the needs of young professionals; organize and support the annual Procurement Expo.

Term: Ongoing. Members must meet minimum meeting attendance requirements.

Meetings: Meetings are typically held the second Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

Small business is a critical piece for the continued growth and development of our community. Having a strong passion for providing educational resources and collaborative opportunities for small business initiatives, I knew being a part of the Small Business Council would allow me the opportunity to support Gilbert chamber members and be a part of the continued growth of the Town of Gilbert.
